U2 Celebrated Africa – Africa Returns the Favor
On April 1, Shout! releases one of its most important titles of the year: In The Name Of Love: Africa Celebrates U2. This ambitious—if we say so ourselves—album features 12 African artists from ten countries, each covering a U2 song. The lineup includes Angelique Kidjo, Sierra Leone’s Refugee All-Stars, Soweto Gospel Choir, Les Nubians, Tony Allen and others paying tribute to a band that has given so much. In keeping with U2’s mission, Shout! will donate a portion of the proceeds to The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Ninjas Love Pucca
The Jetix favorite (seen on Toon Disney) is coming to DVD, and it’s got fun goodies inside. We’re talking DVD content PLUS a little something extra. The first two titles include Kung Fu Kisses, which contains a limited-edition sticker, and Ninjas Love Noodles, which sports a limited-edition Ninja license (!). How fun is that?!? Each Pucca DVD contains 13 episodes that are chock-full of pure kung fu comedy.
My So-Called Life Is A Hit!
Many of us at Shout! count MSCL as one of our favorite shows of all time. So we weren’t completely surprised to find it topping critics’ “best-of” lists for 2007. The 6-DVD boxed set got props from Entertainment Weekly (the #1 DVD Of The Year), IGN (Best Of The Best, 2007) and O, The Oprah Magazine, which suggests that “you hole up with [this] favorite TV show.”
Mystery Science Theater 3000 Comes To Shout! Factory
First Shout! Factory brought you The Film Crew on DVD. Now we're reeling in the Satellite of Love to bring you Mystery Science Theater 3000, too. Stay tuned for info on DVD releases as well as digital offerings. In the meantime, get ready to cozy on up to your favorite ’bot buddy and set your phasers to funny. Tom Servo would want it that way.
